Glossy Box

Glossy Box Feb ’16

Each month I thought it would be nice to do a post on what I received in my Glossy box and give a little review on some of the products, what I liked and didn’t like.

For those of you who are aware or don’t know about Glossy box, let me explain. Glossy box is a monthly subscription box in which you get Β a luxury beribboned box filled with carefully curated selection of 5 makeup, hair and skin care must haves. The content in the box is worth at least Β£44 and only cost Β£10 +p&p each month.

The first product I received this month is by Wilkinson Sword, it is the intuition razor.

This is what Glossy Box said about the product:

” with a gentle, creamy soap that lathers and moisturises, intuition hydrates the skin and the four blades leaves legs super soft. For a smoother finish, shave your legs at the end of your shower to allow time for the water to soften stubble and open hair follicles. ”

This razor is amazing. I found this to be a lot easier to use then a normal razor. It makes your legs smooth and soft after use and I found I didn’t need to use any soap or shaving cream which is a bonus. It has soap around the bland that moisturises your legs while you shave, the soap also smells good too! I didn’t need to use lotion or cream on my legs after showering. For only Β£8 I think its a great product.

The next product that was in my box was from Glossy Box own makeup range. It is their eye shadow in mauve.

This is what Glossy box said about the product:

“This season, smoky purple an blue eyes were seen at Christian Dior. We’ve tapped into this pretty trend with this exclusive GLOSSYBOX satin eye shadow. Either apply with your finger tips for a sheer finish or with a wet brush for a dramatic colour.”

Full size Β£7.10

This eye shadow has great pigmentation and is a stunning colour. It could be used on the lid on its own or also as a great crease colour for a purple smokey eye. I think it is a little over priced for a single eye shadow but it is a great product for the price.
The third product I received is by The Vintage Cosmetics Company. It is their Floral Slanted Tweezers.

This is what Glossy Box said about the product:

“these pretty floral tweezers are a makeup bag essentials. The slanted edge makes them perfect for brow shaping and if you simply need to tame a few unruly hairs they’re ideal for precision plucking.”

I used these tweezers for the first time the other day and they work as good as other tweezers. I prefer to use the slanted edge tweezers and it’s easier to use then straight edge tweezers. I think Β£8 is a good price to pay and you also get a cute floral pattern that many tweezers don’t have.

The fourth product that is in my box is by Royal Apothic and it is called Lip Tinties.

This is what Glossy box said about the product:

” we discovered this quirky brand in Los Angeles. These pretty pots contain shea butter and a trio of oils (argan, grape seed, almond) to nourish lips while adding a subtle hint of colour. Inspired by an old apothecary manual, it’s now a celebrity favourite with Victoria Beckham rumoured to be a fan.”

This is the second product I have received by Royal Apothic, like the body lotion I love it. It makes your lips feel soft and conditioned and gives a little colour to the lips. The colour looks like a very bright hot pink but comes out very sheer and shiny. It is a great thing to keep in your handbag if you get very dry and chapped lips. The packaging is very cute with a rose gold lid and in a little glass pot.

The last product that is in my box is by Emite, Diamond heart primer.

This is what Glossy box said about the product:

“primers work an absolute dream under your makeup and this lightweight formula is certainly no exception. it balances your skin tone, boosts radiance and creates a smooth finish, in turn perfectly prepping the skin for the day (or night) ahead.”
